LAMBERHURST BAYHAM ABBEY TQ 63 NW 2/131 Gates and piers about 100 metres north-west of Bayham Abbey GV II
Gates and piers. 1870 for Marquess Camden by David Brandon, architect. Rubble piers with ashlar dressings and wrought iron gates. Two carriage gates each with low frieze, enriched centre panel and cornice to heavily scrolled overthrow, hung from piers about eight feet in height with modillion cornices and heraldic animals as finials (a lion and gryphon).
