Building survey undertaken by Archaeology South East in 2006. Built in the mid-late C18 as a pair of handed cottages, with brock ground floors and tile-hung timber-framed first floors. (The date stone of 1779 refers to the date of death of the patron, and may not reflect the date of construction of the buildings.) An outbuilding dates to this period. In the mid-late C19 the rear range was altered to allow more space on the first floor. During the C20 the roof space was altered. (1)
