The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HORSMONDEN MAIDSTONE ROAD TQ 74 SW (west side) 1/82 Brambles Place GV II
House, sometime cottage row. Early C18 exterior to probably earlier core. Timber framed and clad with red brick on ground floor and tile hung on first floor with weather boarded return elevations. Plain tiled roof. Lobby entry plan. Two storeys and garret with half-hipped roof and stack cluster to centre and C19 stack to right. Four 3 light wooden casements on each floor. Two panelled doors to centre and to right, both with pediment shaped hoods, that to right a C20 copy. Catslide outshot to rear. According to Hasted (Vol.V) this was 'a small manor'.
