The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOUDHURST BEDGEBURY ROAD TQ 73 NW (east side)
5/86 Little Pattenden 20.6.67 GV II House. C16, altered C19-C20. Timber framed and exposed with plaster infill, extended with red brick, weather-boarding and render. Plain tiled roofs. Two uneven blocks of 1 framed bay each, possibly the remnants of a larger framed structure. Two storey and garret on plinth, the central projecting block jettied with gabled roof and stack to end right, roof stepped down to left to recessed wing with rear stack. Outshut recessed at end right. Garret window to central gable, otherwise 1 leaded wooden casement on each floor to each section, with boarded door to left in boarded porch. Outshot at end left. The jettied wing has the appearance of one end of a Wealden house, possibly originally extending further to right (ie to south).
