Summary
Dungeness No. 4 Battery - 1798. An 18th century coastal battery was previously recorded at this location based on information from documentary sources. This area was surveyed as part of the South East RCZAS NMP project. No remains of the former 18th century coastal battery were visible on historic or modern aerial photographs at the grid reference specified (which now lies in the sea) or in the immediate vicinity.
