FRITTENDEN BUCKHURST ROAD TQ 8041-8141 (north side)
13/8 Forge House
GV II House. Exterior c.1700. Red and blue brick, with rendered return elevations, tile hung gables and weather boarded rear wing. Two storeys on plinth with low buttresses to corners. Three course plant band (settled at end left and end right) and half-hipped roof. Stack to end left, and large projecting and double offset stack in irregular band at end right. Two 3 light wooden casements on each floor those on ground floor with segmental heads and offset from first floor windows. Blocked segmentally headed doorways to left centre and (with head) to right centre. Present entry by half-glazed door in right return in glazed and raking C20 porch. Gabled wings to rear.
