The following text is from the original listed building designation:
FRITTENDEN BUCKHURST ROAD TQ 84 SW (north side)
3/14 Oast about 25 metres north of stone Court Farmhouse GV II Oasthouse. C18. Red brick and timber framed and weather-boarded, with plain tiled roof. Two storeys, the ground floor of brick, the first floor of timber. Roof gabled to right and half-hipped to left. Boarded doors on each floor on right return elevation. Damaged cone projecting from centre left of roof. This is a rare survival of the pre-C19 form of oasthouse with the kiln and stowage area com- bined into one structure.
