Summary
Martello Tower no. 27 was one of a pair with no. 26 (TR 02 NE 4) guarding the Globsden Gut sluice gates, opposite St Mary's Church, Dymchurch. It was built in 1805 was at one time a semaphore station and was demolished in 1841
