Building survey undertaken by Archaeology South East in 2009. 4 main phases of construction. There was a building on the site in the C17, though virtually nothing of it remains. In the late C17 a T-shaped building was built, consisting of a 5-bay main range with a projecting wing to the south. In the late C18 / early C19 three extensions were added to the north, south, and east. At this time there was some internal redivisions, and a new staircase was added. In the late C19 the eastern extension was extended and a new brick-built extension was added along the eastern side of the building. The internal structure has been altered in the C19 and C20. (1)
