The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SANDHURST TQ82NW RYE ROAD (OFF) 1350-0/6/240 (South side) 20/06/67 Oakhurst II House. Probably late Medieval hall-house with inserted C16 brick chimneystack, restored in C20. Timberframed building, tile hung. Tiled roof, hipped at west end with off central panelled C16 chimneystack and end brick stacks. 2 storeys; 4 windows. Casement windows and C20 porch.
