Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BENENDEN TQ73SE HINKSDEN LANE 1350-0/2/48 Scullsgate Cottage GV II Cottage. C16 timber framed building with C18 or C19 additions and alterations of c.1920. Front clad in red brick to ground floor and tile hung above with tiled roof. 2 storeys, 2 windows to front. C20 casements and central doorcase with flat hood on brackets. Left side elevation has 3 casements and is tile hung. Some windows have old glass. Outshut to right hand side. Interior has C16 gunstock jowled post and curved tension brace. Shutter groove. Original house probably of 3 bays with 1 C18 bay added. Open fireplace with C18 bressumer.
