The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOUDHURST CRANBROOK ROAD TQ 7237-7337 (south side)
15/163 Triggs Farmhouse 20.6.67 II House. C16 or earlier. Timber-framed and tile hung on red brick base, rendered on return and rear elevations. Plain tiled roof. Probable hall house with cross- wing. Two storeys and basement, with hipped and gablet cross-wing to left, and stacks to rear end left and at end right. Tripartite sash leaded cross-window and 3 light leaded casement on 1st floor, and 3 light mullioned and transomed window to left, 3-light leaded casement and rib and stud door to centre right on ground floor. Left return with brick and sandstone base and slight jetty to 1st floor. Return hipped rear wing. The seat historically of the Stringer family, a window pane recorded here inscribed:- God Bless King William, Hannah Stringer 1695".
