Monument record TR 02 NW 14 - Probable 16/17thC Kiln Site East of Snave
Summary
A field strewn with red tile fragments, apparently wasters, with some sherds of a red ware, also probably wasters, a few of C16th/C17th stoneware (Siegburg and Bellarmine), and a few of coarse pottery, including one with tin-glaze. One of the accompanying maps to Hasted's `History of Kent' shows a double enclosure hereabouts, but it is not possible to identify it with this site.
