Summary

Grade II listed building. House and threshing barn. The house is probably 19th or 20th century, it has two storeys and three bays, it is built from brick and render and has a hipped roof. The barn has three bays and is timer built with weather boarding and a gabled roof. It is of uncertain date, probably 17th-19th century. The house is unlisted.

Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 64 NW CAPEL FIVE OAK GREEN ROAD (north side) 1/252 Barn approx 10m east of St Nortons
GV II
Barn. Date uncertain, C17/C19. Timber-framed, clad with weatherboards, corrugated iron roof. 3-bay threshing barn on a rough east west axis with opposing full height central double doorways onto the threshing floor. Front has a late C19/early C20 window with glazing bars either side of the plank doors and there is a shuttered hatch to left. Roof is gable-ended.
Interior: Not available for inspection at the time of this survey.
The barn is on the same alignment to Nos 1 and 2 St Nortons Cottages (q.v.) close by to right. It could be that they were built together.
