The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 64 SW PEMBURY OLD CHURCH ROAD
5/406 Fry headstone approx 5m south of the porch of the Old Church of St Peter GV II
Headstone. Dated 1651 in memory of Edward Fry. Upright sandstone slab standing approx 450mm high. Its head is shaped around the carving of a winged cherubs head. The inscription in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering records the death of Edward Fry in 1651.
