Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 55 41 SPELDHURST SPELDHURST HILL (north side), SPELDHURST 12/553 Anonymous chest tomb approx 1.5m south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin GV II
Chest tomb. Probably C17. Sandstone. Chest tomb is rectangular in plan with low walls of plain coursed sandstone. Thick soffit-chamfered flat lid. Any inscription has worn away.
