5/359 Nos 1 and 2 Dislingbury Cottages

Pair of cottages. C18 or early C19. Timber-framed. Ground floor level is underbuilt or faced up with stretcher bond red brick; brick stacks and chimneyshafts; peg-tile roof.
Plan: Pair of cottages facing south south east, say south, No 1 to right (east) and No 2 to left (west). Both have one-room plans with projecting end stacks. 2 storeys with attics in the roofspace and lean-to outshots across the back.
Exterior: Not quite symmetrical 3-window front of late C19/early C20 casements with glazing bars. Front doorway to No 2 is left of centre. Doorway to No 1 is round the corner in the right end wall. Both contain late C19/early C20 plank doors. Main roof is half-hipped both ends.
Interior: Plain carpentry detail where exposed. Roof not inspected.
