The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 67 41 BRENCHLEY HIGH STREET, BRENCHLEY (south side) 15/111 Elizabeth Fuggle headstone about 9m south west of the tower of the Church of All Saints GV II
Headstone. Late C18. Freestone. Rococo in style. A high quality headstone with a scrolled head and elaborate and delicate carved decoration round an oval inscription panel, the carving including festoons and foliage. The inscription commemorates Elizabeth Fuggle, died in 1790 aged 19. A presumably contemporary slab in front of (east of) the headstone has rounded corners.
An unusually elegant headstone in an outstanding churchyard.
