GOUDHURST GROVE CORNER TQ 73 NW 5/176 Grove Place GV II House. C17 core, altered and extended C18 and mid C19. Painted brick, with tile hung gables and part tile hung rear elevations, possible fully framed core. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys on plinth with hipped roof with 2 large bargeboarded gables to left and to right, and stacks to left and, larger, to right. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes to 1st floor and 2 sashes to ground floor. Central panelled door in gabled porch, with arched outer door, and arched side- lights. Three glazing bar sashs to return elevations (one blocked on each floor to left return) and canted bay on right return. Three rear wing, 2 hipped, 1 half hipped. Interior: mainly C19 (turned baluster stair), but with cross-beamed ceil- ings. Sometime a school.
