The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LAMBERHURST NEILLS ROAD (north side) TQ 63 SE 5/201 Yew Tree Farmhouse GV II
House, sometime farm cottages. Early C18 and mid C19. Red brick on ground floor and tile hung first floor with plain tiled roof. Two storeys on plinth with roof stepped up to right and hipped, and with stacks to end left, rear centre left and to centre right and end right. Six wooden casements on first floor, alternatively of two and three lights, that to end right with gable over, and five on ground floor, with half glazed door in gabled and trellised porch at end right. Bricked up doorway to centre left. Single storey weather boarded extension at left with wooden casement on each elevation and catslide outshot to rear.
