CRANBROOK SAINT DAVID'S BRIDGE TQ 7736 SE & TQ 7735 NE (north east side) 10/213 & 12/213 - The Smithy GV II
Forge, now shop. C18. Timber-framed with brick catslide extension to front right. Plain tiled roof, half-hipped to right with gabled step to left, up to large brick stack. Stack also to rear right. Outshut with catslide roof to front right. 2 storeys. Irregular fenestration of 1 triple casement on first floor to left, with casements in front and left return face of outshut. Half-glazed door on ground floor to left flanked by non-opening windows. Interior: Timber frame of thin scantling survives. Forge hearth on ground floor.
