Monument record TR 03 NE 14 - Possible deserted medieval village

Summary

No literary evidence for a church or village was found, and local land owners of long standing could offer nothing to support the view. The "village-like" earthworks below the sandstone cliffs are the result of slumping and the downhill movement of soils. They have been ploughed but have yielded nothing but natural stone. There is a ruined farm to the south east of the area at TR 082349
