Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. CUMBERLAND WALK 1746 No 8 (Harecroft School) TQ 5858 NW 1/20 24.11.66. II GV 2. A curious house of about 1840-1850, probably also designed by Amon Henry Wilds. 3 storeys faced with cobbles with white brick dressings and quoins. Eaves cornice. Iron balcony on lst floor with trellised columns supporting hood. 3 sashes with glazing bars intact. Round-headed windows on the ground floor and a segmental- headed window in the centre of the 1st and 2nd floors. Round-headed doorcase in coved recesss with a surround of white bricks at the sides but red bricks at the head. Segmental fanlight and 3 panel moulded door. Nos 6 to 9 (consec) and wall in front of No 7 form a group.
