The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MOUNT EPHRAIM 1. 1746 (South East Side) No 29 (The George Hotel) TQ 5839 NW 3/58 24.11.66 II GV 2. Circa 1830. 3 storeys painted brick. Eaves cornice. Stringcourses above ground and 1st floors. 3 sashes with glazing bars intact. The centre window bay projects and is curved. Addition of 2 storeys and one window to the north. Nos 29 to 37 (odd) form a group.
