CRANBROOK CARRIERS ROAD, (WEST TQ 7736 SE SIDE) 10/39 Old Rectory Cottage 9.6.52 and Cranbrook Museum (formerly listed as Old Rectory Cottages) - II
Farmhouse, now Museum and cottage. C16, altered in late C17 and C19. Timber- framed and clad in red brick. Plain tiled hipped roof with brick ridge stack to right of centre and brick end stacks to rear. Return gable at right end of front, plastered. Sloping head dormer to left of front with small central half-timbered gable. Two storeys and attics. Single window in gable to left. Irregular fenestration of 3 windows on first floor and 4 windows on ground floor, all wooden lead-lattice casements. Boarded doors to left and right of centre. Gable with inscriptions CE 1683 WTN 1889. Formerly the Rectory.
