Summary
Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1400 to 1989 15th Century timber framed building it has been an Inn since at least 1600 (The Black Spreadeagle) and was a haunt of the Hawkhurst Smuggling Gang. A tunnel is said to run form the Inn to the parish church of St. Mary's.
