The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LAMBERHURST HASTINGS ROAD TQ 6635-6735 (north side) 9/165 Oasthouse about 50 metres south of Spray Hill Farmhouse GV II
Oasthouse. Early C19. Timber framed and weather boarded stowage on Sandstone base and with plain tiled roof and red brick roundel. Stowage with lofted end bays and half-hipped roof with lean-to outshot to right with open arcaded ground floor with curved braced main pints. Full height doubled cart doors to centre right and shuttered loft opening on right return and boarded loft door to left return with flight of wooden stairs. Roundel to rear left with corbelled eaves and cowl with winding vane intact.
