TQ 53 NW SPELDHURST ASHURST HILL, ASHURST
7/439 Simson headstone approx 10m south of the porch of the Church of St Martin GV II
Headstone. Dated 1749 in memory of Charles Simson. Upright sandstone slab standing approx 750mm high with shouldered and shaped head. Inscription of Roman serif upper and lower case lettering in a fielded panel and it records the death of the infant Charles Simson in 1749.
