The following text is from the original listed building designation:
GOUDHURST CHURCH ROAD TQ 7237-7337 (south side)
15/128 Row of 3 headstones, about 20 metres north west of Church of St Mary GV II Row of 3 headstones. Wilkins family, c.1800. About 4 feet high with swagged and moulded heads, with central sunburst with open eye, inscription panel in form of large open book, and draped cloth with further inscription below. John, (d.1807) and Sarah, (d.1809) Collins. About 4 feet high, with shaped head and 3 incised roundels, crudely executed, of Death with scythe and hourglass, a winged female figure with open book, and an angel blowing a trumpet. Isaac Bates (d.1840) and family. Black slate headstone, about 4 feet high, with Greek Revival detailed moulding, reeded pilasters, fluted cornice with central panel, scalloped semi- circular head. Signed Burgis, Cranbrook. An unusual material and execution in this area.
