The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LONDON ROAD 1. l746 No 68 TQ 5839 SW 2/48 20.5.52 II* GV 2. Includes No 47 Church Road. A C18 house. No 47 Church Road was originally a factory and shop of Tunbridge Wells ware. A print of it shows Princess Victoria riding by on a donkey during her visit to Tunbridge Wells as a child. 3 storeys, the ground floor stuccoed, above tile hung. Hipped slate roof. 2 sashes facing London Road, 5 sashes facing Church Road with glazing bars intact. The 1st floor projects on 4 wooden Tuscan columns with dentilled cornice below the overhang. Plain doorcase with rectangular fanlight and 6 panel door in London Road. No 47 Church Road has a doorcase with pilasters, open pediment and semi-circular fanlight. No 68 form a group with Nos 31 to 47 (odd) Church Road. Listing NGR: TQ5818839437 (1)
