TQ 64 SW CAPEL CHURCH LANE
5/233 Relph headstone approx 4.5m south of the chancel of the Church of St Thomas A Becket GV II
Headstone. Dated 1759 in memory of Elizabeth Relph. Upright sandstone slab standing approx 1.2m high. Its shaped head is inscribed with scrolls skull in profile with wing-like fronds. The inscription begins in Gothic lettering but most is Roman serif upper and lower case lettering and it records the death of Elizabeth Relph in 1759.
