The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 55 41 SPELDHURST SPELDHURST HILL (north side), SPELDHURST 12/573 Okill headstone approx 3m east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin GV II
Headstone. Dated 1769 in memory of William Okill. Upright sandstone slab standing approx 550mm high. Its curving head rises over a carved floral motif. Fielded panel below is inscribed in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering and records the death of William Okill in 1769.
