The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SANDHURST TQ7828 SHARP'S HILL 1350-0/9/245 The Malt House 20/06/67 II House. C16 or earlier timberframed building, refronted in early C19 and refenestrated in C20. Painted brick to ground floor and weather-boarded to 1st floor. Half-hipped tiled roof with off central tall late C16 brick chimneystack. 2 storeys, 3 windows. C20 casements. Doorcase with flat hood on brackets and 6 fielded panelled door, the top 2 panels glazed. Weatherboarded L-wing to rear. Interior has open fireplace with C16 brickwork. Rest of interior not seen.
