The following text is from the original listed building designation:
BENENDEN TQ83SW HALDEN LANE 1350-0/3/43 Beston Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. C16 timberframed building refronted and extended with L-wing in C18. Red brick with grey headers. Old tiled roof, half-hipped with 2 brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys. 3 windows. L-shaped. Casements with leaded lights. Cambered doorcase with 6 flush panelled door. Interior has C16 spine beam with lambs'tongue stops, chamfered joists and open fireplace to front range. C18 well staircase with 3 turned balusters to each tread. Parlour has early C19 duck's nest grate and china cupboard with serpentine shelves. Kitchen has C18 bread oven, open fireplace and well.
