Plan: Double depth plan house facing west, basically 2 rooms wide and 2 rooms deep. Stacks between the front and back rooms. Off centre front doorway to entrance hall and staircase. Principal rooms on the front, service rooms to rear. The present layout is essentially the result of the later C19 reorganisation. Exterior: 4-window front of C19 casements with glazing bars, the ground floor ones with segmental arches over, the first floor ones with Tudor-style stucco hoodmoulds. Front doorway is left of centre and contains a C19 fielded 6- panel door behind a flat roofed porch. The outer arch is flanked by narrow lights and there is a stucco doorcase with pilasters and moulded entablature including a frieze of key pattern. Deep plain eaves and roof is hipped both ends. Parallel roofs with rear block slightly higher. The right (south) end onto the garden was modernisedin the mid/late C19 and includes a canted bay window with moulded architraves containing front horned 4-pane sashes. To right ground floor French window with sidelights and overlights with glazing bars. The rear elevation has horned sashes with margin panes. The entrance front to left (north) has a 2-window front in similar style to the front except here there are stucco Tudor-style hoodmoulds to the ground floor and includes at first floor level left (rear) a horned sash with margin panes.
Interior: Includes C19 joinery detail.
