The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SANDHURST TQ7928 BODIAM ROAD 1350-0/9/167 Cotmans GV II Cottage, formerly cottage pair. Late C18 or early C19. Ground floor red brick, 1st floor tile hung. Tiled roof hipped to left hand side with off central ridge stack and end right external stack. 3 triple C20 casements to 1st floor. Ground floor has 16-pane sashes and 2 doorcases with flat hoods on brackets, the right hand one with Gothic glazing, the left hand one with plank door.
