The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LAMBERHURST THE DOWN TQ 6635-6735 (west side) 9/254 Coachhouse,walls and outbuildings in rear courtyard of The Swan GV II
Coachhouse, walls and outbuildings. Early C19. Red brick and plain tiled roofs. Two storey coachhouse with 2 wooden casements on first floor and 2 sets of carriage doors on ground floor. Boarded loft door in left return. Single storey block attached to right with half glazed door and low swept eaves with corrugated iron roofed lean-to at end right. Connected to the public house by a red brick wall some 6 feet high with boarded carriage gates and doorway in the centre. Included for group value.
