The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HORSMONDEN MAIDSTONE ROAD TQ 74 Sw (west side) 1/81 Bassetts Farmhouse and oasthouse attached GV II
House and oasthouse attached. C17 or earlier, extended mid C19. Timber framed and part weather boarded, part tile hung, extended with red brick and weather boarding. Plain tiled roofs. House and barn in single range with oast to rear. Two storeys with roof half-hipped to left and gabled to right with stack to oentre left. Three 2 light wooden casements on first floor and three 3 light wooden casements on ground floor of left hand (house) section and two 3 light wooden casements on each floor of right hand section. Boarded dear to centre. Attached to rear right an oasthouse with double span two storey stowage with wooden casements on each floor and boarded door to left on ground floor in flat roofed extension, and to each floor on right return. Two square kilns to rear, bath with cowls and winding vanes.
