The bridge was built as part of improvements made to Scotney Castle park by Edward Hussey.

LAMBERHURST SCOTNEY TQ 63 SE 5/231 Bridge over the River Teise at TQ 6872 3495 GV II
Bridge. Circa 1840. Sandstone and red brick. Single brick arch over stream with stone embankment walls. Dressed stone parapet walls, splayed on plan and with coping stones. Part of Edward Hussey's improvements to Scotney Castle park.
