Full Description
(TR 013459). A cremation group, comprising a jar, used as a cinerary urn, a bowl and a dish, possibly used as a lid to the urn, was found in 1963 by Mr. A.G. James in his garden at The Duck Farm, Kennington. The vessels, Iron Age in fabric but possibly dating to the early Roman period, were donated to Maidstone Museum (Acc No.57, 1936). (1) Mr James discovered the group, whilst cutting a trench across a field, at TR 00804546, but has made no further finds. (2) TR 013459 A single, La Tene III cremation burial found in 1963. (3)
