Type 22 pillbox. No. 62.
Pillbox.Type 22 pillbox of variant form, with covered guarded entrance and double Y-shaped blast wall: bolts fitted below embrasures for vertical wood shelf supports. Wood-shuttered exterior and interior. Entrance is half-blocked by brickwork on steel bars. Situated on N side of Canal with field of fire S across Canal to railway.
Identification no.62. 5 x medium embrasures; 1 x small entrance embrasure. With PLAN drawn on form.
Concrete-faced type 22 pillbox, sunk into ground. Protected doorway. Tinton Manor Farm, W of Warehorne on Royal Military Canal. (1-2
