Hexagonal-type pillbox [probably type 24]: 7 gun embrasures. Door bricked up. Brick shuttering. [Recorder Urquhart gives NGR - TQ 505456].Standard type 24 pillbox, brick-shuttered, situated on N side of River Eden, with field of fire S across river towards Chiddingstone. Entrance blocked up. with PLAN drawn on form. S of Somerden Green, on bank of the River Eden, very close to a public footpath and a concrete footbridge.
