Close to River Medway crossing at Chafford Bridge, Fordcombe area. Standard type 24 shell proof pillbox (brick-shuttered), buried to embrasure level.

Type 24 pillbox. 'Thick-walled'.Type 24 pillbox set low in the ground. Owing to man made changes in the river course and the construction of a weir, the pillbox is now on the edge of the river with its base exposed and erosion around cracks in the base. Brick-skinned exterior. with PLAN drawn on form. Close to River Medway crossing at Chafford Bridge, Fordcombe area. (1)
