Hexagonal type pillbox (brick-shuttered), with 7 embrasures. [Recorder Urquhart gives NGR - TQ 526447].

A thick-walled type 24 pillbox in the grounds of Penshurst Place. Brick-shuttered.Type 24 pillbox, brick-skinned, situated in gently sloping valley of River Medway, with field of fire S towards Penshurst Place. [No access to interior of pillbox as the entrance is half-blocked with brickwork]. with PLAN drawn on form. In Penshurst Park, rear of Penshurst Place, close to a line of trees (near Lancup Well).
