Monument record TR 04 NW 34 - Possible deserted medieval village or shrunken village, Boughton Aluph
Summary
Boughton Aluph may possibly be the site of a former medieval village; a shrunken village or a deserted medieval village. The village has previously been refered to in both these terms, mainly based on the location of All Saints Church in the area. However this is uncertain and it is now thought that in both cases there is little in the way of physical proof of the existence of such a settlement.
