Building record TR 23 NE 210 - COASTAL OBSERVATION POST

Summary

Observation post (now a kiosk). Summary from record MWX51359: A Second World War observation post is visible as a building on aerial photographs. The site is still extant on aerial photographs taken in 2003, and was in use as a kiosk when it was recorded by the Defence of Britain project. The building appears to have been extended on aerial photographs taken in 2006. A probably associated military building is located 37 metres to the west (Ref). The site is centred on TR 25429 38464. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP (Component 2).
