Summary

Penshurst - Category 'B' World War II nodal point. At least 12 pillboxes ringed the village, Type 28A anti-tank types and Type 24s for infantry armed with rifles and light machine guns. The defences are focussed on the bridge over the Medway near Elliott's Farm; Long Bridge over the Eden; and an unnamed bridge ove the Eden West of Penshurst.
