Full Description

Close to the M20 motorway, at the rear of the Business Park at Callington Quarry.Concrete-faced type 28a anti-tank gun emplacement. Overgrown.

September 2018: unfortunately the structure appears to have been largely demolished.

Constructed as part of the Medway GHQ Line defence line with an angle of fire focused on 51 degrees north-east. Concrete construction, no pedestal visible, for mobile AT gun? Has suffered critical damage in recent years. Entire roof area has been collapsed in, fully exposing steel reinforcing. Not recommended for statutory status (1)
