Monument record TR 04 SW 21 - Henwood Pumping Station, Ashford

Summary

A late 19th century water pumping station was located in Ashford. This building is first marked on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition map of c.1895, indicating that it was constructed between the creation of this and the 1st edition map of c.1861. This building was demolished in 1999 and the engines were reportedly removed to a Mid-Kent Water depot.
