Full Description
There are two undated tile structures, possibly tile kilns, near Combwell Farm, Goudhurst. The visible remains are two curving tops of arches made of tiles. They may represent the tops of tile kilns, possibly associated with the nearby priory. There are cavities beneath each and the firing chambers may still be buried in the hillside. There was no dating evidence.The structures were shown to the Canterbury Archaeological Trust during a survey on a pipeline that passed nearby.(1)
